True laobr

Contractions gets stronger and closer together

Contractions are in a fairly regular pattern

Walking or changing position makes them stronger

Contractions are usually felt beginning in the back and moving forward

Cervix opens and thins

pre labor

Contractions remain the same strength, distance, and length

Contractions may be irregular

Walking or changing position does not affect the contractions

These contractions may be felt up high in the frontHow to differentiate true and false labour pain?
You are probably experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions. These are like practice contractions. Your uterus is preparing for the real deal. True Labor pains are consistent. starting every ten to fifteen minutes or so apart getting closer together and stronger as times goes by. Start timing your pains, if they are not consistent and/or getting stronger then you probably have some time to wait. Your back probably hurts because your baby has dropped down into the birthing position putting strain on your back. No matter what, you know your body better than anyone else and if you have douts, go to the hospital and make sure! Best of luck to you and your new baby.
It might be that you're in labor. If the hospital is not that far away, try to drop in and have a check-up. If the pain has been going on for more than 6 hours already, it may be that you are already in labor. Contractions come at intervals and not continuous. Try to time the intervals and if it comes at almost the same number of minutes apart and closing in, you may give birth soon.
