I do not understand this question can someone explain it to me? Decide if the statement is true or false, and?

why. A) 7| 23 B) 24 is a factor of 8 C) 16 | 16 D) 0 | 6 E) 15 | 0 F) 65 is a multiple of 15 G) n^3 is a divisor of n^5 H) A number is always a factor of its square.I do not understand this question can someone explain it to me? Decide if the statement is true or false, and?
A) 7 | 23

means ';7 divides 23';. This is false as 23 is prime and so it's only divisors are 1 and 23.

B) 24 is a factor of 8.

The factors of a number are the numbers that divide it. The factors of 8 are

1, 2, 4, 8. So 24 is not a factor. This statement is false.

C) 16 | 16

Yes, 16 does divide 16. True.

D) 0 | 6

The factors of 6 are 1, 2, 3, 6. So 0 does not divide 6. False.

E) 15 | 0

EVERYTHING divides 0. So 15 divides 0. True.

F) 65 is a multiple of 15.

The multiples of 15 are

1 x 15 = 15

2 x 15 = 30

3 x 15 = 45

and so on. We find that 4 x 15 = 60 and 5 x 15 = 75. So 65 is not a multiple of 15. False.

G) n^3 is a divisor of n^5

n^5 / n^3 = n^5 * n^(-3) = n^(5-3) = n虏

so n^3 is a divisor of n^5.

True.

H) A number is always a factor of it's square.

Let x be a number.

Then x虏 = x*x

so x is a factor.

True
