Chemistry true and false questions please help?

T or F. and WHY!

1. In an ionic compound, the # of cations is always the same as the # of anions?

2. Ionic compounds ALWAYS contain metal and non metal

3. In an ionic bond, electrons are always shared between two atoms.

thanks!Chemistry true and false questions please help?
1. I'm not quite sure. Cations are positive; anions are negative. Do ionic compounds always have to have a neutral charge?

2. Definition of an ionic compound: metal + nonmetal

So...yes, true!

3. Hmm. I'm going to say false. Sometimes one of the atoms will ';hog'; the electrons.

Hope that helps!
