Well coming from the Islamic perspective, it is very difficult to pick out the hypocrites and sometimes you can be wrong. Islam has given some signs, you can determine ones intelligence and wisdom by their speach, they can get heaps of information to you using very little words. The hypocrites are very tired when they pray but appear enegetic before and straight after prayer. They over react and appear very excited and emotional although they feel no joy, they try to act it. They never keep their promise. They constantly lie and backbite. They have this different facial expression, it seems dull and sad, anxious, the true beleivers have this illuminous glow and they just seem happy all the time. It is only Allah that knows ones soul and ones true intentions better than anyone else, even themselves! So thats why its really tough to pick them out.

The only true christian church is the one formed by Christ and has survived until now by apostolic succession. Any other christian or christian-sounding church is just a good attempt but not nearly the truest Church. ';I shall be with you until the end of time..'; Jesus Christ.

Yes I do. The true ones are busy selling all their stuff and helping the poor etc. As for the would-be Christians here, they're just trolls %26amp; busybodies with nothing better to do than annoy atheists.
Jilan, The Bible said that you ';can know them by their fruit';. This keeps things pretty simple. Apple trees have apples, not grapes. Pear trees bear pears. Olive vines have olives on them.





So, a Christian is someone who is like Jesus Christ. You need to read the gospels in the New Testament and see for yourself what Jesus is like. Real Christians should have genuine love for others, they should be genuinely good, should be willing to learn and grow. Christian's want to spend time with God and want to read the Bible for themselves. I can go on and on, but you get it by now.





Someone who talks Christianity/Jesus, but is unkind, selfish, greedy......is false! If a person's Walk doesn't match his Talk, then he is a fake.





All Christians make mistakes, but real Christians will prove true the majority of times. The Bible also said, ';you will know they are Christians by the love that they have for each other.';





Truthfully, I've been a believer for 37 years and I am still learning and changing thanks to Jesus Christ. I hope you know Him, too! He is awesome and wonderful!
The guy you see on T.V. pumping everyone for money 24/7 driving around in his $100,000 BMW, is a good indicator that he may be a false teacher. The guy whose not asking for any money but people donate anyway, then turns around and provides for the crippled war veterans without the fanfare, I'd say he's genuine.
Does the person live as he or she speaks? Most of all does his or her actions speak louder than their words?

A Christian is a follower of Christ's teachings and one who believes He died for their sins. As for Christian behavior, there is no Christian who walks the walk 24-hours a day, every day.





If you are not Christian yourself, the best way to judge whether you are dealing with a true or false Christian is to ask yourself whether this person inspires you to consider accepting Christ as your Lord and Savior?





Do you sense a feeling of brotherly ';love'; emanating from this person? If the answer is ';yes,'; you are probably dealing with a true Christian. If you consistently fail to be impressed by this person's behavior and do not sense any spirit of love coming from this person, then you are possibly in the company of a ';nominal'; Christian - one who is a Christian in name more than in practice.





If you ARE a Christian, ask the Holy Spirit to help you discern whether you are dealing with a true Christian or a person who simply calls himself a Christian.





Finally, it is probably best to conclude that only God knows what is in a person's heart despite our attempts to decipher a person's spiritual sincerity.
You're pretty spot on with American politics, the present President is always thanking God for killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people, and the religious right of America support him. It confuses me, I was reared in a christian family and still class myself as a christian but I can't accept the ramblings of the fundamentalist christians, to me they are the antichrist with all their hatred and bigotry, yet in the current nominations for next President, the Republicans are actually canvassing their vote.They should tell them straight away that their evil nature will not be tolerated in any civilised society, but it is encouraged by the White House and particularly by the Republicans. No wonder the Americans are presently seen by the rest of the world as a heap of religious nutters. Hopefully we will be rid of the Republicans in November and have a Democrat as President, both Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama have better christian attitudes than any of the Republican nominees, maybe then America will once again be respected as it used to be. So to answer your question, look for people who do kind deeds and do good things, you won't find them in government or evangelical churches, I have the same problem myself, how do you tell the good christians from the bad ones?, believe me, there seems to be a lot more bad christians out here than good ones. If people talk about the love of Jesus this pretty much is a great indicator that you are real.





If people say Christ saved me. And Christ this,(WATCH OUT)





THEY REALLY DONT HAVE THAT STRONG OF A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS.





THERE IS SOMETHING ABOUT THE NAME OF JESUS THAT JUST IS LIKE NO OTHER NAME
A true Christian is shown by their nature, their life they live that shows Christ is alive and therefore according to the Bible. However, a person who knows the Bible inside out does not necessary mean he/she is a real Christian. Christianity is all about the LIFE of Christ. Is not a philosophy nor (strictly) a religion.
They just accept good ones and call them real .Bad ones are false .Got it now.

The false Christian will tell you things that are not in, or directly contradict, the teachigns of the Bible.





If they folow the word to a tee, you have nothing to worry about.
God's Mother Mary, always stresses that there is but one God and that people have enforced unnatural separation. One cannot truly believe,be a Christian,if he does not respect other religions as well. You do not really believe in God if you criticise other religions.
