Is it possible for something to be both true and false?

And does it violate the Law of Identity (A is A)?Is it possible for something to be both true and false?
I don't think so, once you get into complex questions where you can tell if its true or false i think the question is misleading and therefore not a true or false question, just like... the sky is blue.. true or false, i think it needs to be specified how ';is'; is used, whether scientifically or generally, it can't be blue and not be blue but it can be represented by two questions of ';is the sky blue?'; and ';does the sky appear blue?'; where one question is false and one is true but both questions represent a different meaning. But in this case we use those phrases interchangeably in our language and therefore can be confusing =PIs it possible for something to be both true and false?
It cannot be both at the same time. It does not violate that law, but rather the Law of the Excluded Middle--which, on 2nd thought, is dependent on the Law of Identity!
